This back garden is on a huge 6m slope and was in need of total renovation. The swimming pool was existing but the surrounding garden was unusable and very old fashioned.
We designed the space so that every bit of this large garden could be easily accessed and used. A mix of materials broke up the hard landscaping and soft planting helped to bring colour and softness to the spaces. A large lawn at the very top is a great play space for the children and is hidden from view by the hedge. Safety was imperative and this has been achieved by using planting and glass screens where needed. Beach huts were a quirky addition and used for changing, toilet and the pool pump rooms and a large pergola covered the table for year round use.
