Small garden, St Albans

This overgrown garden belongs to a house which had been rented out and not touched for many, many years. The client moved back in to the house and wanted it cleared and redesigned. He wanted an extra large shed and large patio.

A shingle path flows through the garden to a sunny seating area and then on to the shed area. Upright sleepers add interest, help shield the shed and outline the seating space. The large patio area near the house provides plenty of room for a table and chairs.
