Small courtyard garden with pond and lush planting, Wheathampstead

This small garden has two patios, a large pond and no grass. It is surrounded with tall planting to give a lush, tropical feel and complete privacy. The aim is for an easy outdoor living space, with relaxed seating in a sunny corner and a table and chairs near to the kitchen for outdoor dining. There is a large amount of planting for the space, but this just adds to the exotic feel.
