This garden was to be built to specifically incorporate some land acquired by our clients at the back of the garden. At a raised level, this enabled us to design the garden on two levels. The brief was for a relaxed adult seating area, an area for children’s play equipment, a larger lower patio for dining table and chairs and a water feature.
Designed and built on the asymmetric allowed for the garden to be interesting and yet each area feels roomy and inviting. The water blade, falling from the top to the bottom level, adds interest both visually and audibly, and the blue rendered wall creates a sense of drama.
This has resulted in a successful use of the space available providing a useable garden for all the family.
